Dear Friends,

I fail to understand American Accent. I wish to join a company on part time basis in mumbai as a Business Transcriptionist where in I have to type the words spoken by Americans in a conference call, meeting , seminar etc.

Earlier i have worked in an intl call centre for 2 months but i left since i understood only 60% of what they said. For last 26 yrs i have a Hindi Background hence this prob is occuring.
My written and spoken english is quiet good but I really fail to understand what Americans speak.
I have tried watching AXN, HBO, etc but all in vain.

Can somebody help me in this regards. Is there a way by which i can understand in one or two months. I am also not in a position to join any classes for the same
Plz guide
