Define deliverables of your client company clearly and if possible in measurable terms.
Confirm business viability and poetential
Identify expressions of excellence
Identify skill sets and critical attributes required of key personnel and other groups of people
assess current state of knowledge base, skill sets.
design programs for each level of people for appropriate objectives.
Deliver programs effectively.
May assess effectiveness on the job and results.

actually recently i did project on training in maruti, gugaon..hope my this information helps u......4 designing a training plan,one first have to decide whether it is an annual training programme calendar (ATP) OR monthly..... after that the training needs identified are mapped and the dates with d faculty r decided upon........
it is always advisable to prepare an ATP first, coz after that monthly plans r easy to mapped.......some points may help u

..objectives of d training programme
..deciding upon MDP'S
..target of the training programme

How you are going to decide that your target of training is achived? Bu the number of trainees? or the effect of the training and how you measure the effevt of training?
