There is no prescribed format for pay slip other than that provided under the Factories Act. A pay slip is required to show the gross earnings, deductions, number of days for which the salary is paid and the net salary. All these are incorporated in the pay slip in question also. Therefore, it can be taken as genuine one. Besides, the basic intention of making a fake pay slip, ie, to show salary inflated, is not present in it. It shows very low salary, without deductions to PF etc. Had it been fabricated, it should have an inflated figure with so many statutory deductions.

Hi,I think it might not be fake because most the Companies in India issue these type of payslips for employees working on Temporary or Contract roles. — Shash

Dear All,
This salary slip is fake as per my understanding. As the component CPF mentioned in the slip is applicable for the employee and the employer contribution will be 1.5% of basic salary if the employee is below or equal to the age of 35 years.
But in the attached salary slip, the employer contribution is empty. So that, it seem to be fake.
Thanks & Regards

Its pretty difficult to say wether the attached one is fake. Companies as per their subject matter knowledge & technological inheritance design their salary slips, thus hardly any salary slip format of 2 companies are found to be identical.
A sneak review of the salary statement depicts the employee address as Singapore & in all probability the salary is being paid in Dollars.
CPF can be mandatory for employees based at India but not Singapore/other countries, so it can not be taken as factor for declaring the slip fake.
To end with, if the provided salary slip is one of the deciding factors in recruiting the respective employee, then, verifying the same from parent company itself is a viable/trusted option. We, with our speculations & derivations should not define the fate of, a may be genuine prospect.

Its very difficult to justify the genuiness of a paper document. It should be verified from the supporting documents. In this case, it should be verified with the bank statement and employer as well; only then we can arrieve at a decision weather this is fake or not. If the slip is not verifiable from the supporting documents and evidences; this will be a fake document.
As a HR person ask for Salary Slip supported by the bank statement bearing the bank's stamp.

As per my opinion this pay slip is genuine. The address given in the slip is Singapore & the detail of the pay must be in their currency. (Not sur about their deductions)
so please check before u come to a conlusion.

I second the views posted here on the matter, This view to me represent the paractical and workable solution rather than speculating on some genuine prospect even if the slip is fake lets not damage somebody's career as the name of the candidate is open in the salary slip, at the most why not verify the bank account which is mentioned in the slip and tally with the amount.
