Dear Freinds,
Very Good Morning.
As Mr Naren has already breifed about Banglore Informal meet and nothing is left to say from my side.
I appreciate the initiative taken by Mr Naren, Mr Rajaram and Mr Kourien. All three members are most senoir/elder among all members. They have guided us like anything.
During introduction and chat with all respected members, Mr Kourien has given a very interestic topic for us to DEBATE.
TOPIC:
WHY HUMAN AS RESOURCES. HIS VIEW IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT THAN OTHERS HR EXPERTS/SCHOLARS AND WE ACCEPTED HIS VIEWS FOR NATIONAL DEBATE THROUGH THIS FORUM.
Now my point is as:
Why we can't say HUMAN POTENTIAL in place of HUMAN RESOURCE.
I would like to request all members to provide your views in this regard.
I STRONGLY SAY, HUMAN POTENTIAL in place of HUMAN RESOUCE.
MOST WELCOME TO ALL FORUM MEMBERS TO PARTICIPATE ON THIS DEBATE.......................
FOR BANGALORE CITEHR MEMBER: In next meet, I ll come with my topic for presentation.
Regards

I believe we can definitely say "Human Potential" instead of "Human Resource". Probably it's convenient to use this term coz we generally say this resource, that resource and "Human Resource". Otherwise HR is there to identify and bring out the potential of the "Human Resources".

Hi,
Sidhu says "Human Resource Management------>Human Potential Management."
Prof.Lakshman says " Human Resource Management----->Human Resource Wellness."
I believe the statements are almost interrelated.

Hi all,
Though I am a new joinee to this cite and lesser experience than those who actually initiated the discussion. But I would like to put up my views.
We can say Human Potential because every individual has got some potential which is the result of abilities and knowledge.
But according to me, we shall keep on saying Human Resources because resources help us in achieving the objectives. Not all resources are utilized to the fullest of extent and not all resources prove to be fruitful for the organization.
Here is the difference when we talk about the potential we normally understand that something useful is coming in next few minutes but human resources comprise of all those individuals who can be made available for the purpose of doing certain jobs.
Here we can also talk about hard worker vs smart worker. There are issues related to the word 'potential'.
Thats my point of view, what do you all say?????
Regards
Ritu
