PLS LET ME KNOW WHETHER THE TIME ATTENDENCE SYSTEM, WHICH IS, ELECTRONICALLY PUNCHING MACHINE, WHICH KEEPS A TRACK RECORD OF LATE COMING, LOGGING OVERTIME, DAILY ATTENDENCE, ABSENTISEEM, LEAVE RECORD, DOES IT APPROVED UNDER THE SHOPS AND ESTABLISHMENT ACT? OR DOES IT SUPERSIDE IT. OUR COMPANY IS A MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY, THUS PLS LET ME KNOW IF IT IS APPROVED.

thanks Mr. Prakash, But we have already installed the fingerprint scanning machine for attendance and its software, now it is also connected with our inhouse ERP (PEARL erp).
so I just want to know the labour rules or factory rules regarding the computerisation of the attendance system.
please guide me.

Dear Rahul,
What i understand is you want to use a computer based time-monitoring system instead of physical attendance register .... presume i am correct !
Would suggest pls speak to your labour inspector and there is a provision whereby you will have to apply for maintaining the data in the prescribed format in an electronic form. This is possible.
