What preventive measure should be adopted to tackle the recession??

The role of HR at this point of time is :

1.Reducing hiring cost
2.making emloyees more productive
3.Utilising internall resources 100% and getting the proper output from all.
4.Instead of firing people he can plan for some thing like ..merging with other employers ,outsourcing employees on contract basis...something like this.
5.HR is the only person in an organisation ..who can motivate the management to give good future to their employees.

The redession period is very crucial to the companies to function. The role of the HR is very predominent in these days to regulate the staffing, personnel Management, administration, and retention of employees etc. It should be our endeavour that Human resources should not be wasted even for an hour in our precious time. Employees utility is to be taken care of. Alternative items of work and jobs for the improvement of the firm have to be identified for the furtherence of the company. Employees confidence about the job security to be taken care of. As far as possible, the HR division, should not resort to act upon the retrenchments, weeding outs etc., in the best interest of employees, and in other words, they have to create job opportunities by developing the potentiality of the firm exploring the real possibilities for expansion of the departmental wings, divisions, branches, outlets, etc., to get rid of the situation arising out of the recession. Some times, recession will become a boon in the hands of the mankind, if it is utilised in a better way suited to the needs of the companies, environmental circumstances, aspirations of the Managements etc. Recession should be taken as a challenge in the hands of the Human resources division, to regulate the day to day functions of the company qualitatively and quantitatively.
