Competency Based Recruitment & Selection

Hi, I'm a new member here and am currently the recruitment & training manager of a sales & distribution company. One of the projects i am working on this year is the development of competency-based recruitment, training & performance evaluation model that we can implement in the company by 2006.

I was wondering if you could share some ideas with me as regards to:

Competency Profiling / Making a Competency Grid (Retail Sales)
Competency Based Qualifying Exams for Retail Sales People
Competency Based Interview Guides / questionnaires for Retail Sales
Competency Based performance appraisal forms

Hi,
This is Nupur. I am currently doing my summer project. I was working on a different project till day before when they changed my project . I am short on time and hence can use all the help I can get. My new project is competency based recruitment I am interning at a Mutual Fund company and the departments over here that would come under my research would be Sales, HR and operations. Could you please help me out with some information as to how i should go about the project and what I can do.
