Default VISA Application to China

Dear Seniors,

I am working as an HR Executive in a software company. In Dec. this year one of the team member who is a software engineer needs to go to Shanghai China. I am currently trying to get the documents that he'll be needing for VISA Application. However on one issue I have stuck. I have already got the invitation letter from the client company which is in china but my travel agent has told me that I need to get it orginal i.e. Originally stamped by China officials and then couried to my office. But In Visa formalities searched by me in Chinese Embassy website, I see no such requirements. Pls. guide me the whole process of Appointment for VISA Application and the documents needed for VISA Application for China.

Pls. help me.

Thanks,
Swati

Dear Swati

No need to submit the original invitation letter to china embassy.. Invitation letter is only backup paper.... u will talk to your travel agency. Xerox copy or fax or email copy is enough to get the businees/ employment visa..

these agents contrive to fetch more money from by misleading clients and making simple things complicated. Your software engineer is not going for smuggling smacks or illegal stuff.

Hai friends,

Most of the embassy started asking original documents for verification. It is suggested to get original and proceed to speed up the process.

Hi friends,

Thank you so much for your quick and wise suggestions. In the website of China Embassy, I got to know about an agency which deals in providing VISA. It's and official agency and while I enquired about the documents required, they told me that Faxed letter will work out. If someone needs there Contact no. , pls. ask and I'll provide you the details.

Thanks,
Swati
