Sajid need your help!!!!!!!!
Hi Sajid,

How u been? Sajid as you know i am working as a HR executive in a construction company in Bahrain since 6 months and in the meantime i am pursuing CPP (CIPD U.K) from Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance. Today I got a call from a company which is into the retail and they offered me a job. But i am confused whether to join or not?

I want to know whether changing a job with in six months will have a bad mark on my Resume.

I am of an understanding that the demand for retail sector in GCC is more as compared to the Construction sector. I went through the company's profile and i found it to be really interesting. They operate in the whole of GCC and they are authorized dealers of all major brands across the globe. The position that i am being offered is HR and Administration Supervisor and I will be getting a better salary than this.

My question if i join this company as a HR Supervisor, will this be regarded as and entry to the next level? Should i get in there? What do you feel about this shift?

Awaiting you response in this matter at the earliest.

Thanks & Regards,

Abdulla Shaik

hi
Dear Shaikh,

Good to see your post. We are glad now members are seeking advise on personal decisions as well. . This is very true that 6 months job switch is not recommended and nor it is appreciable. But as you said Yes, retail sector has good scope in GCC and If you take entry as an HR Supervisor, you indeed will get up the ladder soon, I am sure about it.
Do let me know what company it is, if you do not want to disclose in the forum you can write to me on sajid.rasheed@gmail.com. When ti comes to Bahrain, I can suggest you the prospects in this new job once I know the company details. Bahrain is always close to heart habibi.

Cheers
