Greetings!!!!! I fail to understand that how can someone answer the question as to why you choose HR over other MBA disciplines???????????
Please understand that an interview is a tool to market yourself as an ideal candidate for the position, not someone else.........so you need to introspect why you choose HR over marketing or finance????????
If the answer for the question of why MBA after BA comes you need to be honest.......we interviewers understand that it is basicaaly done because a BA college doesn't have placements but n MBA college has placements...................
i ask you to be honest, but at the same time tactful..........an MBA gives you the edge because it inculcates in you a sense of management.......it gives you the correct tools to analyse............nothing that is taught to a mba is taken from the outside & stuffed into him/her.......these attributes are there in them....an MBA just hones your skills, helps you prioritise.............
so when this question comes phrase your answer in such a manner that it suits the needs of the interviewer..............like if a company is looking for people with excellent analytical skills...you can phrase your answer that i lacked this & after an MBA i am able to analyse & understand problems in a better fashion............
or if the company is looking for a person for a marketing role.......say that you have been marketing the annual college fest & the response to your marketing skills has given a ____ % increase in sponsorships by corporates..........but plz understand,...what ever you say should be true & not fiction....bcoz they are experienced enough & it maybe difficult to bluff................
So be honest, be yourself & you shall succeed.......
