Default Consultants

Dear Seniors,

Please let me know if the people working as consultants(Age above 60) in a co. should be alloted employee codes along with other regular employees or separate codes or no codes at all?

They are being paid 'consultant fees' not salary. So, they are not employees, right?

Should I issue them appointment letters or contract letters? What should be the content?

Please guide me.

Regards,
Srishtee

Cool

if the consultants regularly came to office, you should maintain their attendance.

Some companys has maintained consultant emp number separately, some companys has not maintained the emp number.

but my suggestion is consultant number should maintain in separately that is very useful to track them.
