Bonus Payment for Quite Employee

Dear All,
I was working for one of the Corporate Hospital and my basic is more than 3500 and i was present more 30 days in last year. Last month i quieted the job. At the time of final settlement company denied to pay me my bonus .Manager says that i m not eligible because im not working in organisation at the time of bonus payment ie present month. And the company pays last year bonus ie2007-2008 at this diwali.
Please advice me am i eligible to get bonus and does corporate hospital comes under the payment of bonus act
