Dear Karthick,

Always doing an MBA is an added advantage down the line in your career, whether if it is a distance education or a regular.

Also to note that when doing a distance education they do certainly look at the weightage of the institutions as well as the universities.
ICFAI as well as Symbiosis do top the charts to name a few where they are given more weightage in distance education.

When an MBA is done while u r working is always preferred at corporates.

Regarding your career yes it is possible to move into core HR but a direct entry would be very stringent. The reason why being u do not have any experience.
Would suggest you enter into the recruitment division of an organization and gradually move into the core HR as in the opportunity opens so that you do expose yourself to the HR activities as well as policies of that particular organization.

Regards

Dear Karthick

MBA is a professional course. Distance learning doesnt help much as practical things are not taken care off. Imagine a Dr. learning an operation via distance learning. same applies. There are many live projects toi be undertaken and so on.

If your work is a priority then you can choose a one year executive MBA course or a partime one from recognised college.

Thanks

education is useful in itself...whether its distance or full time. But to get ahead in career, you need to have a FT MBA from a good university with good marks!!

Dear all,
Please note that correspondance MBA is not useful.
I have already joined ICFAI but they are not co-operative in your MBA programe.
after ist sem when I have not received my course material, I contact with local branch office (Sec-18, Noida) but beside of help they reply you have to contact directly with university.
There is only one way to contact with university, that is email only. I email them many times but not receive any reply. Than I stop payment from my bank and confirm to university not to deposit the cheques till the matter shortout.
Without contact me they submit the cheque, result cheque bounce.

Now they want to leagel case against me.

So I want to say to all of you please decide well before join, because you can loss money with time and get unwanted problems.
