Hi Kaps,
I would not advise or force opinions in this matter, but I have a something to share with you. Have you read the book "Monk Who Sold His Ferrari"? If no then take out some time and read that book. It might give you some insight. The theme of this suggestion is, "Don't take up a job just because you can do it, take up a job that you want to do it". Get involved with a job, in which passion comes from your heart and soul, not just because you can do it. (I hope you understand what I mean).
Now turning back to your question, if you are game enough to learn and be a team player, no job is tough or impossible to do. You could start your career in HR no doubt about it, but you got to ask yourself is that your aptitude. Quick analysis is: Do you like to communicate with people?
Do you like to lay out procedures, processes, systems, policies, etc & how effectively are you able to systematize the process
Can you overlook your emotions and be unbiased about an action or decision? & yet take a neutral approach next time?
Can you work within the organisational limits and think benefit for employees as well?
Do you have leadership qualities? Are you a kind of leader who loves to create autonomous leaders?
And much more to ask yourself before you take up a step in HR field.
Also to consider how much knowledge do you posses about HR processes, law and policies in general.
But as I said, nothing is difficult, it's all about your aptitude and in which direction you want to steer your life.
Hope this helps you (rather confuse you more

)) )
Regards,
Himanshu
