Dear Friend,

Wishing you all a very happy new year. In a year, there are three statutory holidays as per the government of India. The rest is up to the organization to decide. As of now, the general trend is to have a list of 10 holidays, including the three statutory holidays. In Maharashtra, you have one extra day for Maharashtra Day, and in West Bengal, you have one extra holiday.

The others normally include Diwali, Christmas, Holi, or generally local festivals. This is the easiest way to design a list of holidays.

Thanks & Regards,
