Hi All,
This is my first time here,
I have a question for you guys, feel free to give your input or refer me to any information or articles I can read.
I have a very close friend who received a warning letter today from his boss stating that the reason for the letter was that the Inventory had too many discrepancies at month end when he performed the inventory count.
Based on discussions with other employees, he realised that everyone in the firm received warning letters as well since the employer was recently summoned to court for dismissing several employees without warning.
The employer is a US citizen with a company in Trinidad.
He is now under investigation and has two large court cases for dismissing employees with no reason or notice.
Upon receiving his third court case, he decided to settle the case out of court since it would look badly on the other two cases.
He suddenly came to work today and distributed warning letters to all employees for the Discrepancies in the Inventory Count at month end.
He wants to ensure that if he fires anyone else, that there was prior altercations or issues in the form of warning letters leading up to the dismissal of staff.
Is there anything that the employees can do about this???
Is bad inventory counts the fault of the staff counting the stock?
Please let me know if anyone has any info on this for me so I can assist them accordingly.
Please feel free to contact me as soon as you do via my email address
Thank You,
