Blog Entries: 2   When Pf & Esi Is Applicable To A Factory Under Errection Dear Sir, We are planning to establish one plastic industry in Pangram, Udharbond, Cachar (Assam) which is a Gaon Panchayat 10-12 kms away from Silchar Municipality area. We want to know that from when PF & ESI scheme will be applicable to our industry planning to employee more than 20 workers. Does these schemes are applicable from the day of start of production or from the day of start of erection. We have been explained by some one that new industries are exempt from PF schemes for the initial 3 years of their establishment u/s 16 (1) (d). Please also let us know from when an employee is eligible to be covered under the PF scheme. Your kind reply in this regards will be highly appreciated.
