We are going for CMMI certification for training.
We have worked on basic templates but need inputs on the following topics: (Please suggest some specific things which are easy to evaluate and collation of data is easier in terms of excel)
1) Skill Matrix for the employees - Identified skills for each roles - Have asked respective IS to identify whether the person in specific role possess those skills or he / she should undergo for that skill training.
Have proposed 3 criterias to judge :
Possess this skill and don’t require any training Possess this skill but require training on this to be more proficient Don’t possess this skill and training required is urgent
Please suggest and advise some more effective criterias to prepare a skill database and easy to maintain in excel and method to update this skill database periodically.
2) Employee Training Database
I have prepared database which contains following info:
Employee details ( name, grade, exp., reporting to , func., edu, training request for)
Wanted one sheet which talks about all the info related to a person's training related things like skills required for his role, skill possessed by person, training required for skills, Training attended, evaluation of trainings undergone etc.
Am i exaggreting things to be in one doc or its possible because i feel things at one place will make things more easier and faster in terms of evaluation,records maintenance.
3) Software
Please suggest if anyone is using effective software which will minimise all the manual kind of work whether its database, skills database, Post Training evalution, Training Calenders, Training plan, etc
4) Post Evaluation Training template
Hope to get exact information as i feel popele working practically on these aspects can throw light on this.
