Salary trends in 2008- 2009 in retail sector

Hi,

We are in process of making HR budget for next year. One part is making provisions for salary hikes. Need following information:

India's GDP in 2008 and projections for 2009
India's Inflation rate in 2008 and 2009 projections
Salary hike in 2008 and 2009 projections.

I have done the google serach, but would like to have more authentic source.

Please send in your suggestions on links/ reports we can refer to.

Hi Shefali,
Article came in Economics Times of 13th Sep'08 on same stating expectation of salary increase in 2009 is around 16%.
