Get Together- Hyderabad members.....

Hello all Hyderabad Forum Guys,

First of all I should thank Gunjan, Pradeep & Phanish for their proactive response and taking time out of their busy shedule, which clearly indicates that they are aware of the basic purpose of this GT.

On Sat'day Me, Gunjan, Pradeep & Phanish met over a coffee at Ohri's, Basheerbagh and discussed the following issues:

1. Grand Finale-meet is now rescheduled to 10th of Sep
2. Overall BIG picture of the GT (Get-together)
3. Participants list
4. How to encourage and motivate forum members to respond and give their contact details to make the GT a grand success
5. Task delegation and Volunteers list
6. Date for Next get-together of Volunteers and other interested (02nd Sep'06)

Action Points

1. To keep our Announcement of GT very active and going on sending posts in it ...> Prabhakar and Phanish

2. Creation of Database of contact details ---> Gunjan

3. Looking out various options for Venue ---> Pradeep

4. Budget and Fund Manager ---> Need to get somemore inputs and will be decided in next volunteers meet.

I request you once again all to please give your contact details (We assure you that you will not be distracted from your personal/professional lives). We very much know that everyone is busy; however, HR itself means making contacts with people and growing the network of contacts/friendship. This will benefit us in many ways.

We should make this GT a grand success. A small example of responses : On Friday night...Kerala gettogether had only 11 views but replies were 6..i.e 50% ..which is really good.

It is a bit disappointing that though we have 200 above views, response is only 6.

Please let us know how far have your work gone? We had a word with Sidhartha Roy , The adminstartor to this site, sometime back. He had expressed his vision to have an all India meet very soon . So let work in our own areas and pilot his vision . Once this is succesfull we will work on the national level ! Sounds interesting isn't it

Thanks for your encouragement. We would like to make Hyderabad GT also a grand success with more participants.

Please let me know what is the source to collect all the mail IDs of location-wise members. We have already requested CHR to help. What is the process you applied to spread your message.

Honestly the support I got from Sidhartha Roy and Rajat Joshi , made it easy for me

I did the following while preparing for the meet.

1. I went to the search and put Pune. I got mail posts , posted by the members from Pune

2. I prepared an excel sheet and logged all thier names.

3.Then I forwarded Private messages to all of them , stating that i was working to create a database and requested them to forward me thier contact number and email id.I gave my number and email id as well.

4. Once they started replying the PM, I created an Active list and probable list of memebrs in the excel sheet.

5. I called them up. And few called me proactively

6. When the date and place was decided, I got in touch with them again and got thier confirmation for the meeting.

7. Finally, I called them both on Sat and Sun morning to ensure that they would be there

My lessons : I missed out on few members, couldnt call all of them
Even though my count was 15 for Sunday , only 8 turned up.So its important to have a process of registration, even if the group is small, so that you know exactly how many people are turning up

Most importantly : Please arrange for a quite place, Because, Though Barista is quite a decent one, but there was lot of noise, that was disturbing.
