I have worked as people development consultant with mercuri international and training manager for a jurong shipyard singapore and a licensed eduction advisor with mindchamps singapore. in the course of my work i have observed and identified three fundamental key leadership traits of top performers in companies. they are purpose humility and discipline which i coined as phd of top performers. employees with these traits are more receptive to learning and development. they have learning agility. develop these traits in people before any skill training to be effective. do you agree?

Learning and development has come a long way in all leading organisations throughout the world. its predecessor training and development is no longer a valid terminology for employee development. while training is job related and business specific learning encompases overall developmental needs like behavioural technical and functional. l&d can play a major role for motivating an employee and is a part of retention scheme. l&d creates a place of involvement interaction and integration within a company. if the company can empower its workforce by investing in learning initiatives what else will an employee ask for.

I work with a company which is involved in learning/training content design and development primarily in elearning because this is in demand by their learner. in india i see the learning manager training managers are not much interested to think other then conventional approaches and putting new thoughts to that old way. being in the business development i have many proved cases studies which has shown tremendous hike in learning of the learners.

Dear fellow members i am trying to identify which mode of delivery one should opt for as a hr or learning and development manager to train the employees on certain skill sets for ex. soft skill 1. class room methodology for limited number of participants in company premises and using office hours 2. online mode with no limit on numbers and giving them access any time any where with out disturbing the official productivity share your opinion regards bhushan
