If it is not recognised, consider carefully it's worth. If you are looking for personal development and knowledge, it may well prove to be valuable. And nobody can ever take the knowledge off you.
My experience tells me that unaccredited courses seldom help in a corporate career, unless they are laid on specifically to assist a lack of skills within the organisation running the course. Many organisations deliberately run unaccredited courses simply to stop staff transferring their skills! Typically in the early 80's this was done with CAD. A company would train you up, but not give recognisable certification. The company kept it's trained staff until the competition realised what was going on. |
