Arrow Integration of Employees who are speard across India

Hi All,

We have sales executive, sales manager, production managers and engineers all over India. As an HR at corporate I am given task of integrating all the employees and make them feel they are part of one group.

One of the idea I have thought is sending card and flower to all employees during their birthday.

Suggestions requested from all.

Thanks,
Ritu K

Ritu,

A great initiative!

Well, even a small gift could make difference like choclates or small token of appreciation e.g. a coffee mug which has employee name as well as name +logo of the company imprinted on it. Also, you could gift them "gift vouchers" - not an exclusive one but may be coupons which can be used to purchase all itmes apart from Provision items. Like one could buy a t-shirt etc.

Could you let me know the budget that you have worked out? how are you planning to send gifts to peopel located in different locations?

Best Wishes

Hi Ritu,

Send cards and flowers is one thing and making them feel a part of one organisation is another.

For that you need to incorpoate a couple of strong employee engagement activities depending on the nature of your work, chartacter of employees, etc.

Since you have mentioned sales force, maybe you could arrange quarterly weekend trips, holidays, etc for top performers. Trainings if conducted by your organisation could also be a meeting point for all your employees. Keeping your employees updates with the latest on your company, its profits, market trends, etc is also a good move.

We could have many such ideas incorporated. There are good presentation available on Cite. You could make use of those.

If your company believes in outsourcing, you could outsource your EE activities to a reputes vendor.

All the best.

Imran.

Thanks Imran for inputs.

Hi Shalini,

I think budget will be around Rs.300 to Rs.400 per person. That should be fine. Let us come with the ideas then we can plan the budget. Since they are different locations courier would be the best thing to do.

Thanks
Ritu

You will find this integration exercise very useful. You will have a number of our forum friends coming up with bright ideas...

You could actually start off a communication that provides for common information to all. You may want to start off by getting peer level employees to know each other first, so that they can motivate their own teams to know each team member intially and then try to know others' team members.

You might be having an intranet on which you could flash birthdays/marriage anniversaries, post achievements and appreciations for all employees to see across the country...since sales force is necessarily not online, their managers should be encouraged to share information on a regular basis..

By now you must have understood that this is not a "ONE activity" activity, but one that requires long-term consistent effort, driven top-down in the organisation...

All the best!!
