Arrow Fascinating Engineering !!! Really Inspiring World's 1st in Its KIND

This is the only rotational boat transporter in the world. It has two arms and each arm forms a kind of huge tub filled with water. Boats enter the tub, then the tub locks up and the huge arm starts rotating .

see the construction & engineering of huge canal

At the beginning there were two canals:

Canal Forth and Clyde was built in 1777 between harbors Grangemouth and Falkirk connecting Glasgow with west cost of Scotland.
Canal Union between Falkirk and Edinburgh was finished in 1822.
Because of geographical difficulties, which created a difference of 79ft.in elevation, the two canals were connected by 11 locks.

dear nash,

this was a great idea... i had to see and read it twice to understand its functionality and hence its usefulness part.....first i imagined there were actually two arms like human arms...and they were swimming..with the boat inside... lol

The visual with concentric circles and blue lighting at night was great. and so were other visuals.... a treat to your eyes. but i m more than my eyes only.

The idea or pictures as contributing to motivations: oh i think i just got demotivated that i can never think or make something like this... i m not an engineer....

This being hailed as man's achievement: yes, it is an aspect which can motivate others...however,,,it demotivated me again... west is spending so much of their thinking abilities and ideas and their resources to make more and more and newer products... to do what? to have more speed and comfort in their lives.... Good!
they are happy doing it...and we are happy applauding it...contrast it with our situation in india....and in other poor countries... people don't even have enough to eat or to live in a decent house and to wear decent clothes...

How is it an achievement for humanity? Could u elaborate mr. nash...

??

thanks
seema
