Re: Kindly help am in delimma Hi,
Since you are doing PGDBA in HR, it is safe to presume that you would like to make a career in HR.
Remember there is no substitute to hands on experience.
Consultancy is a knowledge and experience based industry. If you work with them, your process of gaining experience will be limited to what they do and would be of a level of running errands and doing some minor desk assignments. As a representative you will not have many opportunities to deal with clients at appropriate level independently largely because your own experience base very low (almost no-existent in the field of HR) That also suggests that your professionally credibility will be low too.
On the other hand, if you get work for some experienced, competent and knowledgeable professional your professional "upbringing" will be far more assured. The organization that you may wotk for also matters. All in all you must get to work in good environment where you might learn the trade in double time if you are observant and carry an attitude of learning always!
In short, it is far better to look for opportunities in HR field in a company, rather than in HR field but with a consultancy firm!
Get the point? Let us hope you join the fraternity soon.
Cheers
