Management Certificate Programme - IIM

Dear Senior,
I intend to a PG certificate programme in management from IIM Indore. NIIT Imperia has tied up with IIM's and they are promoting such programmes and certificates will be given from IIM, i would like to know whether any this programme will help in my career enhancement, i am little scpetical since it is a certificate programme (One year course) and the cost comes around 1.8L.
Please guide me whether this programme is of any value in the market. I hold a PGDSW from IISWBM and PG D in Public Relations.

XLRI has recently advertised for a PG Certificate in HR, deadline of applications is September.u need to have 2 yrs of exp.

I have few questions than answers for you...

- Are you clear about your career goals...?
- Which is the area you want to specialize...?
- How this program is going to help you in your career goals (you should know this better)
- Where are you currently working? And what is your current profile? - What is the designation or position you intend to hold and in which industry after you finish this course...?
- You say that you have already completed - PGDSW from IISWBM and PG D in Public Relations – how have those courses made a difference in your career and how IIM course will make a difference...

You probably have to do some sought of a SWOT analyse for yourself and take a decision...

The course for sure would have some market value... if you are clear about yourself...

Mr.Siddharthan has replied very well if your other qualification doesnot make any difference to your career how IIM certification will make any difference to your career. All educational qualifications from whereever you do please show some respect to that Institutes and your hardwork if do not respect your hardwork and institute nobody else will bother for your qualification from where it does not make any sense.

You have done PGDSW from IISWBM and PG D in Public Relations what about your knowledge application? Educational Qualification is certificate to practice your profession of specialization no matter from where you did and you have to valued this by recognition to your capabilities.

But you ask market value for certification of IIM is great its not certification of IIM that valued in the market but the people who exhibits excellence are earning recognitions whether they are from any institute or university it doesnot make any difference. India is democratic country you have all the right to prove your strength and establish some new benchmarks.
