Silent thief... Glaucoma, a disease of the eye, silently but steadily steals away vision by damaging optic nerve- the nerve which carries visual sensations to the brain. It is the second leading cause of blindness. Generally associated with an elevated pressure inside the eye, it may also occur with normal tension. Symptoms such as pain, blurring of vision, colored rings around light, headache etc are present only in a small number of cases. High blood pressure and glaucoma may be found together, though not causally related. Physical exercise can help in keeping both the conditions under control. Detected early, glaucoma can be effectively treated with medicines, surgery or laser. CLICK ME FOR PICTURE & MORE TIPS The page will be updated on daily basis.
