Hi,

If you are particular about getting into HR you can start with the recruitment agencies where they take even the fresh graduates intersted in HR / Recruitment with good interpersonal skills and communication. Later on while you complete your MBA, you can try to get into the HR Generalist role in corporates where they (most of the companies) will be keen on post graduates in HR.

Since you are from entirely different profession you got to align yourself for this profession and got to convince the prospective employer (s) and it may take some time for you to settle. My suggestion is to get aquainted and become knowledgable about Recruitement, as it is one of the channels for you to get into HR. Hope this is useful to you and you can also buzz me at 9840244014 for further information / clarification

Regards,
GVS

Dear Friend,

You are most welcome!!!!!

Since you a fresher to this profession, you would paid a salary that is being paid to the beginner. This is completely based on the kind of consultants you join and the place you live at; in chennai the approximate FIXED starting sal would be 5k to 8k. In addition to this recruiters are also paid INCENTIVES based on the closures ( your canditates joining the positions/ openings given by your client) they do and the revenue / business generated out of the closures.

Initially you may be able to expect more sal ( i have mentioned "it may take some time for you to settle down" in my previous post), but as you gain experience and make closures you should feel comfortable with your take home sal.Once you complete your MBA, you have two advantages : a post graduate and an experienced HR Professional, so am sure you would be able to negotiate better with your future corporate company.

Few other suggestions form my end:

Please get suggestion from seniors through our CHR and your city about the availabilty of recruiters position ( at chennai it is numerous)

Please do introspect very well whether you are really keen about changing your profession, as you got to start from the scratch and whether you will fit well in HR.

If you are confident ( happy for you and all the best) please start interacting with HR professionals and gain knowledge ( to crack the interviews).

If you will do your MBA through correspondence, i suggest you that you do it through top tier instuitions like Symbiosis, ICFAI etc... as it will certainly add value to your profile.

Please let me know for further info and am glad to support you in this regard.

Once again all the best.

Regards,
GVS

Hi Dear,
thanks a lot. Shall keep in mind that piece of advice. I do have to make a career shift as this underpaying profession is making me depressed and i m losing on my confidence. I have good behavioral and interpersonal skills, plus i am good at convincing others and love talking. So i think i will do well as an HR.
