Dear All,
I work for a BPO org and we have a policy for Late Comers,Half a day salary is deducted each time u come late beyond the grace time.
this is making all my employees frustrated becouz we pay minimum basic for admin staff and trainees total salary is 5000-8000pm.
Many of them requires full pay for their living, i need some suggestion regarding how to go abt it..

Hi, Pavithra,
If company policy allowes lates upto a certain limit and marks late if employee crosess the limit, then its upto employees to take care that they come on time, if they want their pay should not be deducted. If for any geneuine reason there are getting late, then may once or twice it can be acceptable, otherwise pay should get dedcuted, so that they will become punctual. Also the frustration they are getting is because of their own mistakes and they should not blaim the company.
So you need to consule them to be punctual and aviod unnecessary deduction.

Hi Pavithra,
Read your mail.. See everyone will need their pay completly without much deductions and when the package is less obviously they need it fully.. It will lead them in frustration when the deduction is more.. It is not appreciatable from employees side also.. they have to follow the company's time policy also..
Some steps can be taken to handle dez kinda employees.Call in for a meeting and let them know the importance to come in time.. If you can give them flexible timings make sure that they finish their minimum work hours.. or else instead of deducting the salary, tell them their poor time management will affect in their Appraisal or bonus.. Make some rewards or bonus for attendance which will motivate them to come in time..
Juz i've given my opinion... expecting some more from our citehr friends..
Thanks in advance..
