Default Position Codification

Hi,

I need your help. We need to define the positions in an organization and to give the codes for position.

How to go ahead.

S - Support
A - Assistant
E - Executive
JM - Junior Management
MM - Middle Management
SM - Senior Management
TP - Top Management

Mapping of Grades & Designation
Grade “S” – Support Grade

1. Office / House Keeping Boys
2. Office Assistants
3. Drivers
Grade “A” – Assistant Grade
1. Receptionist
2. Telephone Operators
3. Data Entry Operators
4. Assistants
5. Steno
6. Secretaries / Executive Secretaries
Grade “E” – Executive Grade
1. Executive Assistant
2. Information supervisors
3. Officers
4. Sr. Executive Assistants
5. Sr. Officers
6. Executives – HR, Accounts
7. Sales / Marketing Executives
8. Project Assistants
Grade “JM” – Junior Management
1. Assistant Manager

Employee codes you can start with AB0001,AC0002 or AA0001 etc.,

Dear Amit

Define the positions first

VP
GM
DGM
Sr. mgr
Mgr
Like wise you give some codes for these positions

and then department wise you can classify them

ex

VP E5, GM E4, DGM E3

then if it is Marketing
you can define like M E5 like wise you can give

i think u got the explanation

u can classify the compnay codes in the division of the depts

Dear Amit,According to me one can classify the codes as following:UG - VP / President / CEO / MDE0 - General ManagerE1 - Dy. General Manager / Asst. General ManagerE2 - Divisonal Manager / Regional ManagerE3 - Manager / Dy. ManagerE4 - Asst. ManagerE5 - ExecutiveE6 - Software Developer / Software EngineerE7 - EngineerYou can also use the above desugnations but you can start from Engineer being in E0 and the General Manager at E7 (depending on your requirement)RegardsAnkit09869851356
