Hi all,
I have one doubt. some of employees in our company right now are eligible for ESIC as their monthly salary is less than 10,000. If i'll submit their declaration forms, i think i'll get their insurance no.s and Temporary Identity Card. What will be the validity for those cards if their salary increased in future (in next 2 or 3 months). Please let me know coz i'm so much confused .

Hi,
The people who are below the ESIC limit you will have to deduct their ESIC till end of contribution period. Say in April XYZ's salary is say 9500.00, so u will deduct his/her ESIC o Rs.9500.00. Say in July his / her salary goes up to Rs.11000.00, then in such case you will have to deduct his / her ESIC till Sept . From Oct onwards you need not have to deduct and pay ESIC contribution for XYZ. So even if the Temporary or Permanent card is received it can used upto Sept only.
I hope this will solve your query

Harshad
