HR Interviews.
Hi All,

I had this on my mind for a long time..its all abt an HR person's interview. Recently, a friend of mine with 6 yrs in HR attended an interview..she did fairly well as she was experienced in all aspects of HR..but it so happnd that the HR mgr who interviewed her asked a weird question, though irrelevant fr interview & reqmt per se..she did answer..but was not shortlisted...

We don't know wht exactly these higher-ups in orgn really expect out of a HR Personnel dur interviews though we all r equipped with the right profile..

Can anyone of you give me your views on the same which will be of help to ppl like my friends who are clueless as to wht is happening post-interviews.. theres one more point, wherein companies/HR do not inform candidates (HR interview) abt interview feedback..which is not in a good taste..be it the result is positive or negative..

Thnx
Kavi

Hi:
See, you can not be sure in 1-2 hrs meeting about individual personality. Interviewer is also a human being. Also some other factors matter viz:
Might be the case she was not shorltisted because she was overqualified for the job since answered all the question. Since in this case she may give direct competition to the eprosn who is interviewing her
So far, he asked some weird that might be his style of taking the interview to know the psychology of the perosn or she is good at work because she has the experince and has done same sort of work earlier but is she proactive? can think out of the roof? is she equslly good in doing the things whih is very new to her?

Can not be generalise that all HR does the same. In my openion its entirely depend on matching the job description and specifications with the interviewee's credential and experince and yes, this job description and specifications may change Company to Company.
