As per my knowledge if the other two units started functioning after the full functioning of the first unit and the first unit is covered as per ID act and the necessary staff strength of that first unit is met as per the statutory requirement for issuance of standing order, then all other units are automatically have to abide by the standing order. Not only that standing orders are almost like a small form HR policy for that firm. Because it contains the information like office hours, attendance, leave procedure, disciplinary procedure, wage disburesement details, pubilc holidays, weekly hoildays etc to be pasted on a prominent place of that unit. How can this be varied form one unit to other unit of the same company? so as per my knowledge every unit must follow the same standing order as far as same nature of functioning of the unit is concerned. If different units are functioning for different purpose then also how can be the standard information contained in the standing order are concerned can be different as far as HR point of view is concerned.

Thanks and regards,

S.Kumarasubramanian
