Default Please Help me Its Urgent!!

Dear All respected members of the Forum,

I need the help from HR Community on a very critical issue that I have recently faced.

I got an offer from a very reputed Company a month back. I joined this Company after leaving my previous company on good note this month only. CEO fired me in just two days saying that I thought last night that U and I cannot work smoothly and I have decide to end this relationship now. Reason that he gave doesn't make any sense for me. He said that u think that u only have brain and no other person is smart enough (I can't help it coz u can't change anybody's perception) I asked him to give me a chance atleast to prove him wron or he can do the verification from my previous company where I worked for more than 2 years. He said I will give u ur 3 days pay alongwith 15 days notice period salary. I said its not going to compensate at all the loss that I will bear coz of this act of urs. I asked him to reconsider his decision but he wat so clear about this that he can't work with me anymore.

I was completely shattered for few hours I cried and then I thought let me raise a voice against that as I came to know that in his tenure with this company which happens to be 3-4 month only he sacked 26 old employees too and few in just one day.

Later I came to know that he is a characterless person who uses females like anything. I can't explain everything over here but the gist is he thought in just 2 days he won't be able to utilise me as he was planning to because I was giving my suggestions on the things that I saw are not upto mark or were actually wrong. I confronted with him twice or thrice on few issues.

Bieng a female what preventive and justifiable actions I can take against this person, please tell me.

I can't sit like that as I know he is playing with not only people's career he has actually ruined life of lot many female employees over there.

Please Guide!

1.) If this is CEO, there must be Board of Directors (In case of company), Approach them. make aware them with your situation.
2.) Talk to other staff members, Get support, if they are also facing same problem, they will definitely help you.
3.) If nothing works you have two choices:
a) Can proceed for legal actions. (Check appointment and offer letter, because most of the clauses are always in the favour of company). If you think you can spare lots of time.
b) Forget all this as a bad dream, Start looking for new position, If you possess good skills under your profile, you will get another one soon.

I am sure which industry you are working for ? I can understand that any one loosing their job in fine morning is a disaster, however, look at the positive side that it has come early rather than after 6 months.

Since the terms of employment also needs to be worked out accordingly more than the terms & conditions mentioned in the offer letter. So, know your rights first before proceeding further.

Check out whom does the CEO reports to. You may approach him / her for a solution.

Negotiate with the CEO that you will try to move out once you get another offer till that time, you need to be on the job. This is another solution.

Do speak to your ealier boss and try joining back...possible provided you are in good terms with him / her. In one of my replies, I remember saying that employees join organisation but only to leave their bosses.

All the best !

Regards

hi read ur problem. It appears that ur boss cannot handle dissent and feels insecure with employees who have an independent mind and opinions.U need to however analyse whether u have not crossed the line yourself.U may have ur opinion but there is a way to put it across to a senior especially the CEO.It is healthy to voice suggestions, but finally decisions are taken by the CEO.If u feel that u were right, read the contract u have with the company. If the CEO has the power to sack u the way he did then its bad luck!If not then u can go for legal advice and recourse. But it would be better to change jobs.No point continuing in atroubled scenario

Pratibharathi,

Certainly we understand your predicament!.

Frankly speaking you should quit immediately and look for another job. CEO is just absolutely unprofessional and it’s unlikely if the Board members would take any action against him given his track record of similar 26 dismissals. Also, no point taking up the issue against him.

Wish you had probed about this company before accepting the offer.

Since you are young..getting another opportunity wouldn’t be a problem and sooner you cut off better it would be your mental peace!.

Regards,

Rajat

Thanks all..

I am at home these days and there is no point of continuing at all as he asked me to leave immediately on 3rd day morning. Rajat is right as CEO might feel insecure with people who are having their independent opinion and ideas and above that he will not be able to mould such people accordingly as I know law as well. Opinion or suggestion that I gave was in a very sophisticated manner I am sure about that that my behaviour could not be the reason it could be something else.

Neways there is a bright future ahead I can see that I know I will get a good job very soon. In case any of you will find any suitable requirement for me please let me know for asst. Manager/Manager HR position in Delhi/NCR.

Thanks Again!!

Pratibha
