| | Accept The Fact That Hr People Are Becoming Lazy Now A Days Hi All,
I was a regular user of this Cite HR website till three months back. Due to my official tour, I was not participated in this forum very much actively. When I see now lot of changes have happened in this site. (Thanks to Sid)
It is very much shocking to see the people participating in active discussion has come down drastically. Many threads are left without any replies, that too for the threads which people asked for some queries.
Almost all the cities have conducted their HR Meets successfully. Why don't you motivate them by replying the thread giving your opinions & Thanks.
I have seen in Bangalore forum they asked for feedback & suggestions, but no one bothered to reply or give feedback. I use to attend last year's Cite HR Meets' volunteers meeting(Bangalore). They are all doing voluntarily spending their own time without expecting anything or making any profits out of it.
Ok leave that, don't we have a responsibility of educating the people by sharing your knowledge. Being a HR you should be playing a role of educator, counselor, well wisher, motivator.
BUT I SEE THE PARTICIPATION OF HR IS BECOMING VERY POOR AND MAKE THE PEOPLE TO THINK THAT THEY ARE LAZY
I am not making this controversial statement to attract more people to reply, but with the concern of people to think the HR as an important OPERATIONAL FUNCTION in an organization.
Rgds,
Preet
Note: Even if you are not replying to this thread or not atleast do reply for the posts which many are left untouched without any answers for their queries.

| | Dear Preet
Time is the constraint for almost all professional and some of them are effectively managing their time and attending the querries or help sought by others.
I am trying to be one among them by replying/sharing knowledge with the needy people.

| | Hi Kumar,
I appreciate you for replying the queries by other people. Thanks. I am just concerned about people who are not bother to help others, and just spending and wasting time in this forum. Posting unnecessary photos (I have seen one of the photo showing a bathroom for My cubicle cool contest) unnecessary threads, posts, and making controversial statements to get more replies(People have time to reply for such threads and not having time for replying the actual queries)
Once again I thank you for your contribution.

| | HR - Lazy bones Hi, Your message is thought provoking and while it is intriguing there aren't many responses. Although I am new to this community and do not quite stand to comment historically, I do observe that it is a general tendency for most people / users to "read" rather than "participate". People I think are more of "takers" than being "givers". "HR" as a function is dominated these days by a lot of young people who are so "awed" by the ambience of their plush offices and cubicles that they tend to forget why they are there in the first place. They tend to lose their Personality and become a corporate 'tool' instead of being a good Individual with a distinct personality of his/ her own. It is a thought process which I have been pondering for quite some time. I also read a book called "Whoa, my boss is naked" where I have come across similar concepts. POint is: we are losing / unbecoming who we are in reality. Result is: we have stopped sharing. We have started ignoring. We have become self-centered. We are all about becoming the "I" factor. Simultaneously, being in the field of corporate skills testing and assessments based in Bangalore, I have come across some individuals from HR (though they are far and few) who have a distinct Personality and are truly "involved" in what they say/do/commit. Some of them are young women, working for global IT companies. It's amazing and quite contradictory to a major chunk of women in HR these days, who fall in a category (I am unbiased while writing this), whom we can easily forget after meeting/talking. They are the ones who are ignorant of others; unresponsive; awed by the workplace; but not inspired. Same for guys as well. Please mark the words "not inspired". That is important. We have also stopped being inspired and have started living life like a machine, running on the same rail, without a driver. We wake up, have a mental jog of the day ahead in office, catch up with the news, and well, we are far away from all our loved ones around us at that immediate point of time. Later in the day, we are still jogging with more coroporate "tools" (individuals / joggers like us) and it is all about work, work and work, BUT without being actually (mentally/emtionally) involved. | | Dear All,
To certain extent I agree to the points made by Preet and Saurav.
HR should be people's person rather than self centered. Do help others in sharing your experience and knowledge.

| | Hi All,
Now it is proved my statement that we HR people are lazy. Quiet few days , there was no new posts are threads. No replies to the queries. You might ask why don't you do the replies to such unanswered posts or threads. My answer for that, I don't want to mislead people by wrong answers. Unless I am competent enough to answer any posts, I will not do any replies with the wrong answers.
So accept the fact, HR people are not behaving like HR or playing the role of HR.
