We have recieved a few feedback about not recieving information in time to register for the workshops.

Since most of us are using gmail, yahoo or rediffmail to communicate, it is possible that some of our messages go into the Spam folder. Please check your spam folder regularly to ensure you have not missed an important message from your friends.

Default Intent behind the Agenda of the Workshop

A lot of queries have come regarding the Agenda and the purpose ( logic) behind it.

The agenda has been designed looking at the changes in the HR scenario and expectations from stakeholders from the HR. The topics that I intend to cover are :

What is HR
Traits needed to be a good HR professional
Recruiting
Induction
Competency Mapping
Training Need Analysis
Psychometric tests
Performance Appraisals
Expectation Management
Employee Communication & Talent Retention

Of these Recruitment is being given a major focus by dedicating the second half of the 1st day to it. As part of recruiting we intend to learn about Job Descriptions - How to create them, interviewing techniques, referrals, Talent Acquisition, Resourcing ( since a major part of us work in US based companies). These are all activities related to bringing in Talent

The other focus areas are things like Expectation Management, Psychometric testing, Competency, Performance Management and above all Induction. These are all activities related to Managing and Retaining Talent.

The emphasis is on getting people to understand what they are, why they are so important and how to successfully work towards implementing them. That's the reason why we planned a workshop rather than an seminar.

You will appreciate the fact that HR cannot be both Popular and Effective. The objective is to create an " effective and efficient HR" professional. The objective is to create an HR that is Effective hence Popular. Popularity would come from being effective.

Thank you for all the interest you have shown, I hope to see you at the workshop. If anyone of you would like to get in touch with me directly, please email me at

Cheers
