Unfortunately the term "Time management" creates a false impression of what a person is able to do. Time can't be managed. Time is uncontrollable. We can only manage ourselves and our use of time. Time management is actually self management. Its interesting that the skills we need to manage others are the same skills we need to manage ourselves: the ability to plan, delegate, organize, direct and control. Good time management will improve the quality of your life because you will : -Manage priorities -Increase work effectiveness, productivity & achieve more goals -Enjoy a more balanced lifestyle -Reduce the stress which results from a lack of effective time planning -Produce better results – quality rather than quantity -Have more time to think -Have more leisure time. You can improve the way you manage your time if you understand how you use your time at the moment. You will then be able to pinpoint areas where your management of time can be improved and apply some techniques, which you can adopt, but will work if you are genuinely committed to changing the way you approach your management of time Are you using your time effectively? How do you know? Are there things you would like to achieve but not have time for at the moment? Are you in control of your time?
