Hi!

It is one thing to give a target another thing to acheive. Let your friend ask his management to give the details of past activities and the acheivements of the firm.

If they are new he can suggest ways n means of doing something acheioveable.

Rome was not built in a day. Everything takes time.

Agreession is good but too fast with too little in hand is something why out of 10 Start up 8 dies soon.

No issues. This are the learning lessons for a fresher.

To your dear friend -Talk to the boss, consult, try your level best try other jobs.

Good luck

Regards

Biswadeep

hello friends am new to this community.but as am doing my project in a consultancy i think this target is too high for a person.but its also depends on the local market and the type of mandates they get-whether its high profile or entry level.if he is really good as BD person, may be he can,but i still think that its too high.here one person in my org were able to have 2.2l as a target.thats form my side.

Hi,

To my knowledge and experience, achieving the targets, also depend on various external factors like the current scenario of the particular industry, the lead time for the completing the process, the position and the rate system (Flat rate or fixed). And I hope that without a trained recruiter, the target what you have mentioned would not be possible

Hi vandana
It Purely depends upon the kind of clients they are handling but 4 lakh not possible for fresher . I had worked in the same situation but the difference is my targets were not so high but was quite achievable. If they are handling fortune clients and are achieving the same targets or more than that as of you r friend is given ...in that case also 4 lakh is not possible for a fresher ,,,,Your friend should leave that job immediatley and he should search other consulting firms .
"Every month they will double the revenue targets" is completely foolishness..No body can achive that targets untill unless he have strong relationship with the clients or hiring managers. Revenues targets are increased only either on half yearly basis or yearly basis.

Thanks
Varun

I am very much confused about the job. Either it is the sales or marketing job instead of HR.

Reply;

Please intimate to your management to change the target........

Please throw light on recruitement revenue issue.

one of my friend is working in recruitment consultancy. That is new set up and having only two employees as recruiter.

He has been given target of Rs. 4 lac in one month. That means with the help of one recruiter who is just fresher not trained he has to generate revenue of Rs. 4 lac. and also has to do Business Development for that Recruitment Consultancy.

and Every month they will have to double it.

Is it possible? Is the kind of target and work load is given to him achievable ?

According to my opinion it is not possible.

Please give suggestions so that i could pass on to him.

Thanks & Regards,

Default Depends on what requirement are they working for

Vandana! I appreciate your concern for your friend.I suggest you something from my Prior Experience. It is Virtually Impossible.A company who works with only two recruiters Speaks loud about their existence in the Scenario. The Management should never give Unachievable targets to their Employees as it demoralizes them, Worst of all the next time a target is given to the same employee, He already knows that he is not going to succeed and he looses the battle before it starts,Hence forth it's a Bad remark on the Management. They need to think on the Work Life Balance. In spite of this Fact I think Your friend could be of similar industry in which the requirement is posted and he could bank on his contacts and a decent Chain can be built to execute the requirement ;for instance Construction' 2 Project Directors or more would generate that consulting Fees.Hope I've answered the Question. industry
