Hi everyone,
I work in the HR department of a hospital and we have decided to restructure its org structure to enable better services.
The current hospital is a captive of a company and provides service to its employees only.
We are looking at making it a profit center instead of a cost center for the company.
If any one has any info on the organisational structures of various hospitals ( this is not available online, sadly) I would be grateful for that. Any other suggestions are also welcome.
Regards,
Shuchita

Why don't you try and find contacts in HR depts of other hospitals and see how they look at and do things? Advice is risky without looking at whole situations. I'd suggest researching for yourself.

Greetings for the day ahead!!!
PFA two organizational structures, while one is exclusively for eye & ear, another one is more comprehensive. Another one is org. structure of AIIMS, the biggest medical college hospital in India.
We do understand that it may not help you as much but you can take these as starting points, especially if you are not looking at engaging any consultant.

Hi,

I'm presently working in a 40 bedded General & Maternity Nursing Home.
Everyting here is hapazard. The owner of teh hospital has been taken for a jolly ride by the consultants.
They pay him Rs 2000 per month to use his consulting rooms for over 4 hours daily (A/c, Fan, etc etc) and they transfer patiets out of the Hospital where they get huge cuts.

Even after the hospital has a X-ray unit, these doctors send their patients out to another X-Ray clinic where they get a cut for refferal.

Now they are behind the owner of the hospital to start a ICU unit.
They will only make him spend and send patients outside.

The owner is very guilible. A man of Charity and honest dude! HAs an excellent reputation for being a good human and doctor with excellence at par. He knows what they are doing but doesn't have substancial proof to chuck them out. That is where I come in the picture. :-?

He wants me to re-structure the whole un-settled hospital.
He is ready to let me buy whatever software and hardwares that I need and also increase manpower if required.

I want to know

1. The rules & regulations for a consultant doctor

2. OPD and IPD regulations

3. Patient Refferal schemes

4. Policies for a Private Hospital

Requesting you to guide me.

Thanking you..
