An Induction manual must include the following:
I. Contacts (Extn, Mobile and e-mail) of the important SPOCs of various business units
1. Facility / Logistics - Admin
2. HR (Employee relation)
3. Transport / Travels - Admin
4. Finance
5. Training
II. Processes and pre requisites to aquire support from each department
III. Generic HR information such as
Life and Medical Insurance details
Leave Policy
Retention policy and benefits
Escalation and Notification matrix
IV. Generic information about the company which all the employees of the company are supposed to know (Values, Vision, Jargons, Intranet, Portal, Learning places & resources, Recreation, Committies, Do's and Dont's, etc)
Also speak to your HR Director or head to identify if there are any company specifics (details, format, etc) that they wish to get published in the manual.
