Dear Friends,

There is no hard and fast rule that what could be the best suitable answer. Actually it depends upon the situation that in what kind of situation you are facing the interview.

One more thing I would like to share, which I have seen during my entire career that the process of Interview etc. is applicable where the Candidate is new in the market, otherwise nowadays it is Head Hunting which counts very much.

I agree Ravi... Employees leave because they are not happy. The reason of their unhappiness could be financial, cultural or hierarchial. Whatever the reason you give be prepared to justufy it because the chances are that whatever reason you give will be discussed in lenght.

In my personal experience , i have preferred the truth instead of excuses.

Generally this question is asked by Human Resource professionals, while interviewing candidates, what is the reason to change the job. Incase of HR guys, if attend an interview and such question askes, wat would be your answer?? would you speak the fact?? If yes, most of the cases are hikes in salary, dissatisfaction with the job profile, fed up with recruitment and boss's behaviour is wierd or you will give a fake information for the reason behind...to get the job.

Please think over it and requesting you all, whoever come across this post to give atleast a two lines reply with the answer..
Hi,

Nice Question ....but fact says you can say the truth. If you say & you give above mention reasons then remarks of HR/Interviewer will be

1.change due to salary hike :More emphasis to money ,then can leave my organization where you will get better package ..so why I should recruit you ?

2.Dissatisfaction with Job profile :What kind of job profile you are looking for.If the new JD includes responsibilities where you don't have work experince & you answer that I've interest to learn those aspects. Then response can be you don't have experince on these factors so why I should I recruit you? This job is a learning place for you once you will learn it you will look for change.

3 Fed up with recruitment: If you belongs to any consultancy or having experince only on recruitment then response can be ....You don't have any experince on other functions of HR.Why I should Hire you? If you are in consultancy then you don't have even experince to work in a corporate industry/ Organizations, don't have idea what can be other HR function & how other Dept. also functions, theoretical knowledge is not enough.

4. Boss behavior is weired :Let me know a situation,if here the interviewer is not satisfy with that ..then,you have attitude problem /cant cope up with the environment. It can be possible you may not adjust yourself with current open position . How many company you will shift you will face this type of situations? How other staffs of your company managing to this situation? Here it will be a negative point on you being a bad team player.

Rectify me if I'm wrong in above mentioned statement.

I think telling truth is digging whole for yourself ,even same in case of fake. So better to tell mix of them..& always think what question can interviewer ask you basing upon your answer .

Seniors please let me know if any other answer a person can say for reason of job shifting.

Regards
HR Madam
