Dear Raksha,

This is something which keeps happening to HR professionals. Importance of HR is seldom felt in most of the companies. These are organizations which treat HR as a rubber stamp. The problem is not with you, but with the mindset of the company management.

Now, incase if you are not comfortable with admin activities, you can contact your company management and tell them about the same. I am sure, if the company feels you are an asset to the company, they will surely take corrective action. If they don't take any action...you can take your decision.

You will be productive only when you enjoy your work.

Regards,

Arun

Hi Raksha,

Even I feel you should go and talk to the Management. Unless & Untill Management knows what you feel they are not going to work on it. Give them the feedback. Its the same thing...unless & untill we do employee satisfaction surey we don't come to know many problems among the employees. To know these problems & get their feedback we do this survey. In the same way management might not know what you are thinking. So go & talk to them. If you quietly sit and work management thinks that you are ok with your profile.

So even I wud suggest you to talk to the management.

Regards,
Gauri

Hi Raksha,

I would suggest go for it and take Challenges of Admin as well. In Many organisation HR Manager is also taking responsibilities of Administration called Manager HR & Administration.

Accordingly you will get to know more into world of Administration apart from HR and when suitable time comes you need to make balance in both area of responsibilities.

Do your best and seek better pay Package from Management for doing both job.

Keep Smiling......

HI Raksha

HRU

Every company wants to have commo person for HR and Adminstration activities ingeneral

Accordingly talk to the managemnt regarding this issue solve ur problm if u r not happy make it clear to the management that i m unable to focus on bot.

If not make ur self comfort and justify both the departments b'coz administartion activities ewill have same importance as that of HR activities

all the above r only suggstions its u have to take care and take deciisons

Hi Raksha,
Hope you have got good number of advices from our citeHR friends.
I am also working for a mid sized company as HR.Here HR department is the Key of all department.
As Heart of IT business is Human resourse management. It all depends on the managemant how they Prioritise the departments.
We have freedom to impliment new activities here which can help our employees.

I believe this is the time for you to go and express your openion to the management .If thay feel to do something for you its weel and fine.Otherwise Market is much Big now. There is always demand for the people with high Energy levels.
All the best
Regards
Narasimha
