Default Resignation not accepted - Please Help Out urgently

Friends,

I joined a company in Jan 2008, with a probation period of 6 months. In the first 2 months, I found the company culture and norms to be highly unsuitable and resigned in early March, citing personal reasons.

The notice period is 15 days in probation, but the manager told me on phone that i could be relieved within 4 days (by the Friday of that week).

I have with me :
  • A bcc copy of the email I sent from my official ID, explicitly stating resignation from services
  • Another mail I sent to hin 2 days later asking for clearance of dues and relieving certificate
These people never responded to these mails, or connected with me for the full and final. They in fact owe me a few days' salary.

It is now June - 3 months have passed. Can this company now pose any problems? I do not need any relieving letter or even my dues from them. I just want them to leave me alone.

Out of frustration, they may want to harass me. In the services industry, this is such an unhealthy trend emerging. Can the law of the land not do something to punish these rats?

Any suggestions?

Why dont you contact some citehr member from your city and form a group and go to your company and when the company HR comes, give him a verbal warning, and if they dont listen then the stick will show them the way.

This is the only way to correct these harassing HRs, which is really shameful.

Many thanks for the reply, Sohini. No - in these 3 months there has been no communication from their side. I have also left on good terms, because at that time I was heading into my family business.

However, I have now joined another company (totally different line of business, no competition at all), and these guys have come to know. On the other hand, that particular business unit is not doing very well, so they are a frustrated lot. I am just curious to safeguard myself from a frustrated bunch of fools. In case they threaten me, what should I do?

Ashu I don't think the company will pose any problem. They must have already got a replacement for you. As they don't have to pay you a few days salary I don't think the organisation will pursue the matter. All the best for your new career.

Regards,

Sachin
