Default Is an Executive MBA relevant or a Distance Learning MBA relevant

Hi Everyone,

I have a query.I am a HR professional with 4.5years experience in HR.I am planning to do my PG in HR .
I have 2 options in my mind. One is PG in HR from Symbiosis thru Distance Learning & the other is an Executive MBA of 16months from ITM through weekend batch.
Distance Learning will have online assignments & exams, whereas ITM will consist of lectures & projects.
I am confused which will be better and which will have better credentials in the industry.Would request seniors to help me out.

Rgds

Hi Jaya,I can tell you about Symboisis, in Symboisis there is a simple process of assignment and exams. It's books are also in very simple language and useful. It is worth doing for working person, because sometime you have time or some you don't. Suppose you have exam and same day there are an urgent meet in your office what will u do. In Symboisis U can choose your exam, assignment date and time.I did it, it was very simple and helpful and easy also.Narendra BadiwalJaipur

I would suggest you to decide based on your working pressure. But according to my knowledge you may opt for distance course as you are holding nice experience into same & one cannot manage due to work.

All the Best... take care :-)

Hi Jaya,

I partly agree with swati i.e you have to choose one among the both according to your work pressure. but i think you should opt for ITM as you mentioned that there will be projects and lectures at weekend it will be helpful as you will find a good range of people with similar interest like you and it will allow you to explore more as a seeker and contributor.

As a knowledge seeker you can gain a lot no only from the lectures but also from your batchmates as they contribute their experence and knowledge.

As a contributor you can share you experiences and knowledge.

I think this will be a better option.....

thanks

First you need to check which course you can do with your daily official schdule and than think for the best option.

hi Jaya

I agree with Madhu...
I am also for you joining Executive MBA..you get to interact with people and have professors for guidance.. and its almost like the normal MBA.. i have come across some MNC's insisting for FULL TIME MBA's..
Agree Symbi has got its brand value..but its not a fulltime prog thats whys...

Regards

Asha
