Hi,

It seems the org. is not valuing your worth or may be they think you r too novice to be doing a HR's job. The suggested approach would be to speak to you immediate boss about the kind of work that you are doing and asking him for the thing that you were recruited for. Above all, whenever anybody asks you on a task other than yours, please direct them to the appropriate person and not take it on yourself to execute the same. ask for a change of place directly. You need to raise your voice on what you are encountering else, it will be presumed that you are happy about your job

Hi Riya,

I can understand your condition. It is something which happens to most of us, but may not be to that a extent. But still it is something that you need to go out of as soon as possible. I would suggest you to do two things,

1) Speak to the top most person in your company who is suppose to take care of such issues. Even try to talk to the person who gave you chance to work for present company.

2) You have mentioned that you are not getting any other job but still keep trying and you will certainly get a better opportunity.

Hope this will help you. More importantly you need to be self confident to come out of such a thing than only you can handle the stituation in a proper way.

Regards

riya, don't be a fool first and u know very well that ur a hr u have to be in touch of each and every one so ur getting a right place to know the mentality of ur people in the organization. now ur very well aware with the mentalir\ty of ur collegue start behaving in the same way they want and u will see a drastic change in their behaviou it's a learning oppurtunity for u and if ur not still satisfied then i am working as recruiter in delhi u just send me ur resume and i will search a good job fo u in or near by areas but dont get disheartened . frankly speaking i am also sitting at the receptionist table and attending the visitors since from last 1 month i know what cheap it seems when someone comes and ask for some person but i liked it now cause i have learnt a lot from here , u can send ur resume to .thanking u anurag sharma

Hi Riya,

Keep patience.. everything will be alright. As rightly said by the other members, talk to your immediate supervisor & try to solve the issue. Also meanwhile keep looking for other job oppurtunities (as HR job is not that of a receptionist)..Am sure you would come out of this situation.

Am just wondering why org. recruit people if they do not want them to do what they are meant to be doing. Any reasoning behind this

the warning bell are sounding already. please change your job. when the employers have recruited you forthe position of HR Assistant they should have given the right kind of responsibilities, which has not happened. I fell talking to them again would not make a sea change. look out for opportunities on monster, naukri and other job search engines, i am sure you will find something better.

you can live with pressure but not with politics!
