Hi Hemant,

For recruiting senior persons, placements /recruiters headed by or supported by senior HR professionals, will be of much help. As they aware as to who is looking for a change and simultaneuously, where the sitable openings are available. They with their expertise, re-shuffel the talent.

Dear prasad,

Scientific selection is the systematic procedure of choosing & assessing
prospective candidates with a view to match competencies possessed by them to job requirements in the organisation and pick/select the most suitable candidate for the job vacancy.i,e.optimal match for perfect fit.

Scientific selection has the following steps:
1.Application Blank.
2.Filled up Application form.
3.Preliminary Interview.
4.Selection Tests:Intelligence test,Personality test,Interest inventory,Mental ability test,Integrity test, Job knowledge/Skill test or Work sample test,Spatial relation ability test,Reasoning ability test, etc.etc.
5.Group Discussions.
6.Employment or core interview.
7.Reference & Background analysis.
8.Selection Decision.
9.Physical Examination.
10.Job offer.
11.Employment Contract.
12.Evaluation of the selection program.

Using the above assessment is made to choose the most suitable candidate for the job.

Regards,
RGS.

Many Senior managers & consultants blog in public domain for passion. One might have come across loads of blogs dedicated for topics like HR, sales & other functions run by subject matter experts. Apart from working professionals one can find good quality consultants & freelancers who are otherwise not interested in a 10 to 6 job. They are also good targets for recruiters.

It is also imp. to mention here about the latest or new hiring model which many may not know about , the HMS or Hiring gateway system or Hiring mgt. system. This again is web based recruitment & completely replaces the manual system with a software that allows mgrs. to locate requisitions as well as automatically upload resumes. This software also allows recruiters to use knowledge based technologies to create statements of qualifications required or that which individuals have ......and which could be matched to job openings for suitability , inaddition to screening Q's that are to be asked to prospectives etc. and many other new characterstics. It is a highly advanced system in efficiency ,it is said to be developed over a period of 15 years with several thousands of competencies to back it.With this, recruiters can distinguish qualitative differences as also draw logical inferences and understand resume's as they exactly mean.It is expensive but over a long period proves cost-effective and reduces the hiring cycle short by 48% therby saving a lot of time.

WARM REGARDS,
RGS.
MY DEAR RGS.

Thanks for informing about HMS. However, this again is useful in hiring top level people. Can you help me in guiding system for recruiting "Craftsmen". With the recent development of UP/Bihar people leaving Maharashtra, making available this type of personnel has become very critical. Maharashtrian people have started demanding exhorbitant wages that too with less efficiency and output.

Thanks and with regards,
