Research Topic in HR

Hi Guys,
I am doing masters in HR and for my second year i have a year long project to be done basically doing an entire research project on a particular topic.
I am a bit confused as to what topic to take so can u people help me with the same. Would be obliged

Employee banding and competency mapping are closely related and are good topics to research on for a whole year.
